In late 2022, we started a pathway with Sanquin. “We received a sample from Sokkies that they had sent. This was a reason for us to knock on their door for the socks,” says Claudia van der Pijll (Sanquin Communications).
A zipline of ideas and designs passed by. Goal: Combine the new corporate identity with a timeless, unisex design. Pelle the Pelican combined with the new colors make for a unique specimen. Together with Sanquin, test samples were made, the right yarn was chosen and the label was designed.
Claudia: “The contact with Sokkies has been very pleasant. Mike is very precise and careful, very nice to work with.” I also like the socks: “The design turned out very nice. Personally, I find them very comfortable. They have only been in our assortment as donor merchandise since a week, so I expect posts on social media soon.”
The socks are well liked, as we are now working on a second round of production.
Claudia concludes, “A great collaboration with quick handling of questions and fine help with the design. I would definitely recommend Sokkies!”
We also registered ourselves as donors and of course attended the first blood draw in style. 🩸
