Job Vacancy: Part-time Student Graphic Designer
Fancy gaining some graphic design experience by creating sock designs?
Sokkies is looking for a part-time student graphic designer to create creative sock designs for companies across Europe. Our customers range from the local bakery round the corner to major multinationals such as McDonald’s, Philips and Amazon.
What you’ll be doing
As a part-time student graphic designer, you’ll handle the fast-paced, day-to-day design requests. These include:
- Neatly incorporating a logo into a sock design
- Create colour and style variations based on an existing design
- Developing simple patterns and repeating designs
For more complex, bespoke requests, you can always rely on our senior designer, Twan. You’ll work closely with our project coordinator, Lars, to ultimately create the most beautiful socks for our customers.
We experience our busiest period in the run-up to Christmas, when there is an increased need for capacity. It is precisely at this time that your flexibility and pace are indispensable.
What we’re looking for
- You are currently studying for an MBO or HBO qualification (the subject area doesn’t matter; we’re primarily looking for skills and the right attitude).
- You are proficient and quick with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- You work quickly and accurately: producing many designs in a short space of time, with an eye for quality
- You’re flexible: ideally, you’ll be able to work a few hours 4–5 days a week (a mix of office and home working is fine, and working from home in the evenings is no problem either), and as we approach the Christmas period, availability on 5 days a week is a major advantage.
- You are independent, can organise your own hours flexibly, and can easily ask for clarification if anything is unclear.
What we offer

- Flexibility regarding working days, working hours and location: at the office in Heeswijk-Dinther or from home (including in the evenings), by arrangement
- A decent student wage of between €13 and €17 per hour, depending on experience and knowledge
- If there’s a good fit on both sides: scope for more hours or continued work after the peak period
